Terms and Conditions for Submitting a Grievance

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the grievance submission form provided on the West Africa Coastal Areas Resilience Investment Project (WACA ResIP II) website. By submitting grievance through this platform, you agree to the following:

1. Purpose of the Grievance Form
The online grievance form is designed to provide community members, stakeholders, and other concerned individuals with additional channels to raise complaints, concerns, or suggestions related to the WACA project. The goal is to ensure transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in the project’s implementation.

2. Eligibility
Any individual, household, community, or organization directly or indirectly affected by WACA project activities may submit grievance. Anonymous submissions are accepted, but providing contact details will help facilitate follow-up and resolution.
3. Use of Information
•    The information you provide will be used solely for the purpose of reviewing, investigating, and addressing your grievance.
•    Your personal details, if shared, will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to unauthorized third parties without your consent, unless required by law.
•    Aggregate, non-identifiable data may be used for reporting and monitoring purposes.

4. Responsibilities of the Complainant
By submitting a grievance, you agree that:
•    The information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
•    The grievance is submitted in good faith and is related to the WACA project.
•    Abusive, defamatory, malicious acts or fraudulent submissions will not be considered and may be reported.

5. Processing of Grievances
•    All grievances will be acknowledged within a reasonable timeframe.
•    The project team will review, investigate, and respond to grievances in line with the established WACA Grievance Manual (GM).
•    Timelines for resolution may vary depending on the nature and complexity of the issue raised.

6. No Retaliation
WACA ResIP II upholds a zero-tolerance policy for retaliation. Individuals who submit grievances in good faith are protected from discrimination, reprisal, or adverse consequences.

7. Limitations
•    The grievance form is not intended for emergency reporting or legal disputes outside the scope of WACA project activities.
•    The project team will only address matters directly related to the project. Issues beyond this scope may be redirected to the appropriate authority.

8. Consent
By submitting a grievance, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

9. Amendments
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the grievance process or applicable laws. Updates will be posted on this website.
